Firework’s Communications Plan

Summer 2009

During the summer of 2009 St. Ignace will be hosting a summer long celebration called Festivals and Fireworks.  During each Saturday from July 4th through September 5, 2009 St. Ignace will play host to a Festival during the day and will cap each night off with a Fireworks Lightshow starting at dusk. 

We as Cast Members here in St. Ignace need to help the guests become acquainted with this experience.  So, what we would like everyone to do is make mention of our Festivals and Fireworks program and how the guests can become a part of the experience.  Whether it is answering the phone or greeting a guest on the dock, if the guest is asking what there is to do while here on vacation, we need to alert all guest that these Fireworks are happening every Saturday evening and viewing will be all along the shoreline and there is ample available parking and viewing areas.  All this at no cost to the guest.  Saturday is a perfect time to talk about the Fireworks with all guests.  From making a mention to greeting the guest at the door, to selling tickets…please do not forget to mention the Fireworks Show starting at dusk.

The other part of this equation is the fact that St. Ignace will play host to many different Festivals on these Saturday’s as well (please see the attached flyer).  Obviously, some of the Festivals are not as attractive as some…I.E. the Red Hacker Basketball Tournament is not as attractive to the traveling public as the Fish Feast.  However, every Saturday there is a Farmer’s Market and Fireworks at dusk.
